Toshiba to grant scholarships to Vietnamese students

Japanese electronic giant Toshiba has announced it will provide annual scholarships worth 1.5 million Yen (about 14,300 USD) to students from the Ho Chi Minh City National University.

Scholarships will be granted to top students doing their master’s and doctorate degrees at the University of Technology under the HCMC National University. Each chosen student will receive 100,000 Yen (955 USD).

Eligible students should be able to speak English or Japanese fluently. In addition, applicants must be under 27 if in the master’s programs or under 30 if in the doctorate programs.

In the future, Toshiba will also cooperate with the HCMC National University to implement other education projects as well as to establish a research center in the city.
