Nguyen Ngoc Ngan was born on May 4, 1946 in Son Tay, North Vietnam. His brother is singer Ngoc Trong who, in recent years, has become quite popular in the Vietnamese music industry abroad. The Nguyen family migrated to South Vietnam when the country divided in 1954. Mr. Ngan went to Nguyen Ba Tong and Chu Van An high school. He later attended Van Khoa university. After he graduated, Mr. Ngan was employed as an educator for the military. In 1975, Mr. Ngan stayed behind and was incarcerated until 1978. After his release, he escaped the country by boat to Malaysia. In 1979, Mr. Ngan resettled in Vancouver Canada, but moved to Prince Rupert isle in 1980 where he found a job until he once again moved to Toronto in 1985 where he still resides today.

Nguyen Ngoc Ngan began writing in 1979 while he was still in the refugee camp in Malaysia. His first novel was "Nhu+~ng Ngu+o+`i DDa`n Ba` Co`n O+? La.i" completed while he was still in Malaysia. However, his first published work was "The Will Of Heaven", written in English and published by E.P. Hutton, New York in 1980. To date, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ngan has written 25 novels and short stories, all of which are considered to be best sellers in the Vietnamese literary market. Many of the titles have been reprinted several times.

Mr Ngan's work can be described as commentaries. He often pokes fun at life, using simple language to describe the day-to-day activities of his characters. He pays special attention to the details in the spoken language and often uses the charm of a dialogue to paint emotions.

In 1992, through a chance meeting, Mr. To Van Lai, president of Thuy Nga Productions, invited Mr. Ngan to join Thuy Nga as the master of ceremony (MC) for one of their Paris by Night """từ phạm húy""". Mr. Ngan's charm, his wit and knowledge of vietnamese culture, and his timing and style of delivery became an instant hit. In fact, like many of the singers and performers that he introduces, Mr. Ngan himself has quite a following.

In 1995, Thuy Nga Productions suggested that he reads for a series of audio books which were beginning to become more popular in the Vietnamese community abroad. He obliged and often read with Nguye^~n Cao Ky` Duye^n, A'i Va^n, Mai Phu+o+ng, Ho^`ng DDa`o, and Thanh Lan. To date, he has read 60 novels and short stories of all genres. These tapes are often sold out to the surprise of the producers. In the United States, where people often have to commute a long distance to work, the tapes often are a nice break for many in place of music. In companies where there are many Vietnamese employees, these tapes are often the topics of discussions during break and lunch time.

Today, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ngan often travels to many destinations throughout the world to host music shows and make public appearances. With his many careers, Mr. Ngan still finds time to pursue his first love of writing. His last novel, "Na('ng Qua Pho^' Cu~", published by Va(n Khoa in 1996 is being printed for the third time. He is working on another novel titled, "Xo'm DDa.o" to be published some time this year by Ta^n Va(n in Japan.

Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen or Ky Duyen was born on June 30 to one of the most flamboyant Vietnamese leaders of the 1960's, general/vice president Nguyen Cao Ky. Ky Duyen was born in Saigon, Vietnam, but grew up in the United States. Her family first settled in Fairfax, Virginia, then moved to Huntington Beach California where she attended Marina High School. Today, Ky Duyen makes her home in Orange County.

While growing up, Ky Duyen has had her stint in many professions. In her late teens, she had her own photo studio dedicated to photographing fashion layouts. Through her connections with many of the models, she was often asked to introduce them on various fashion shows in Southern California. In many ways, this was her introduction to the world of show business and being the master of ceremony (MC). Her first debut as a MC was at Long Beach's Hoa Hau Ao Dai show. As suggested by her name, Ky Duyen's charm, her command of the one-liners, and her stage presence was noticed by many people in the Vietnamese Entertainment industry. Ky Duyen became famous through her many appearances in the Thuy Nga Paris """từ phạm húy""".

Ky Duyen is a multi-talented star. In recent years, she has begun to take up singing. Her first public appearance as a singer occurred in 1985 in Seattle Washington. Although Ky Duyen is the only one in her family who is in show business, she claimed that there are others who have musical talents in her family, yet they chose not to pursue this career. Ky Duyen first learned to play the piano at the age of 5-8 years old. At the age of 15-18 she studied music and music theory. She also has two years of voice training.

As a recording artist, Ky Duyen first recorded with Tung Giang Studio in 1984. However, many people saw her for the first time when she first sang in one of Hollywood Night Video around 1993. She revealed that as a singer, she is inspired by those music that move the heart. As a listener, she enjoys Jazz, Vietnamese as well as foreign music.

When asked, is there a particular song that you are most proud of and why? Ky Duyen responded, "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong is among one of her many favorites because of its positive inspiration.

In her spare time, Ky Duyen likes to dance, acting, interior decorating She also enjoys reading, playing tennis, playing mahjong, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite food are any kind of "ma('m" and cafe su+~a dda'. Ky Duyen's likes to perform in Las Vegas the most, as it's close to home, and she can take her family for a mini-vacation so they can fun in the casinos while she works.

Some of her projects in the works are: Coming out with her first Solo CD, taping a video for Thuy Nga and appearing in concerts almost every weekend in many major cities in the US. She also plans to expand and be successful in her law practice.
